Sons of Atlanta Vietnam War Memorial Task Force Steps Toward History!

An excerpt from email sent by Eldson J. McGhee:

Hello Team and Supporters:

Please save and share the attached photo of the Task Force with John Dargle, Commissioner, Atlanta's Parks and Recreation, and the Piedmont Park Conservancy Board Members, Mark Banta, President/CEO and Howard S. Wertheimer, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer stepping toward making history on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.  Commissioner Dargle informed the Task Force that their request for land space in Piedmont Park to establish and operate the Sons of Atlanta Vietnam War Memorial is granted and approved!

The Task Force was allowed to review the area where they are now planning to construct the Memorial.

So, here we are, over five (5) years since I first called for this Memorial to be established, looking for an architect, and ready to raise the funds to get this Project completed by Veterans Day 2020!  This was a great day for the City of Atlanta/Fulton County, Georgia and every veteran in this Region.

The Sons of Atlanta Vietnam War Memorial Project Needs Your Support!
